Letter from President Obama

Carol was dedicated to making the world a better place not only through individual acts of kindness, but by supporting candidates and causes close to her heart.  To say that she was supportive of President Obama’s two campaigns is an understatement.  Many people called her the epitome of the “super volunteer” that help elect the President in 2008 and again in 2012.  Because of her efforts, she earned an amazing level of respect not only from the President and his supporters, but from from some of Montana’s most distinguished leaders.  While in the hospital, Carol received calls in her hospital bed from U.S. Senator Max Baucus among many, many other people.  Perhaps of greatest importance, she received the letter below from President Barack Obama shortly after her passing.  While she was never one to seek recognition for any of her efforts, her friends and family are grateful for everyone’s thoughts and support.
